Five sixth grade students (Bunchie, Percy, Michelle, Jessie and Chen) travel back in time to pre-diaspora Africa. Upon their arrival they meet an Egyptian boy (Ramasses) who take them to various parts of Africa to learn about the history, culture and achievements of several African civilizations.

Meltrek: Exploring the Pre-Columbian Americas
The same students travel to the pre-Columbian Americas. During this particular journey, they learn about several aboriginal cultures, defining structures, and nations who arrived in the Americas prior to Christopher Columbus.
